Beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with an unforgettable love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

CoHo! CoHo! CoHo! Yes, I FINALLY READ NOVEMBER 9! It only took me 8 months…but I did it! I picked it up! AND I FREAKING LOVED IT.

Fallon meets Ben the day before she's moving across the country. From the moment they meet, they're both intrigued by one another and spend Fallon's last day together. Before she leaves, Fallon and Ben agree to see each other on the next November 9th for the sake of Ben's writing. Over the years, Ben and Fallon follow their pact and see one another only once a year as they grow, learn, love, and live.

If you didn't know, this book is only told on November 9th each year. That means we miss so much of their lives, but I loved how this book was told that way because we only see them when they're together. Ben and Fallon have an attraction that is kind of insta-lovey, but they are so aware of the fact that it was insta-love that it makes it totally okay. Since Fallon is a reader and Ben is a writer, they are very aware of their own story, so it's entertaining watching them as a reader. I mean, Ben studies romance novels while they're apart and I loved how much he learned from the novels that I myself love so much. While these characters are learning and trying to live their lives, we don't see them. Instead, we see the result of their yearly growth and trials, which makes their growth that much more prominent in their character, which I really loved.

As always, Colleen Hoover threw in a seriously surprising secret near the end that made everything completely make sense, but also completely threw me for a loop. But what else could I have expected from Colleen? I appreciate that she always keeps her readers on their toes and gives her characters so much depth and true flaws.

Overall, this is another favorite from Colleen Hoover. This is definitely in my top five from her and I am so mad at myself for waiting so long to read it. If you haven't yet read this book, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Don't be not-smart like me and go pick this book up right now!

  1. I loved this book SO MUCH! It's probably tied as my favourite CoHo book along with Maybe Someday (because Sydney and Ridge <33333). But OMG that twist! How cruel and heartbreaking! I actually almost died when I read it, but it made so much sense. I completely adored this one and your review is making me want to do a re-read! :D
