Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.

Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.

Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

I don't know what it is about a man in a uniform, but, mmmmm, they get me every time! I really enjoyed Fly With Me, the first book in the Wild Aces series, and I was so excited to read the second book, especially when I saw it was a second chance romance!

Eric Jansen, aka Thor, has given his everything to get to where he's at as a fighter pilot. After tragedy struck a close friend, though, Eric hasn't been able to get his head back in the game and needs to find reprieve, so he goes back to his hometown. The moment Becca Madison finds out Eric is back in town, she's anything but happy. Eric left her high and dry when he left for the Air Force, despite their dedicated relationship. While Eric has grown up a lot more since then, Becca doesn't know if she could put her heart through that kind of hurt again.

Oh boy, I love these men. Eric is so confused about his life and what he wants to do, especially after that tragic event that had happened in the first book. I loved how he just took a step back and took a break to focus on himself before figuring everything out. And that means finding himself back in Becca's life, which he purposefully left back when they were younger. That means, though, he has to work even harder to prove that he won't leave her yet again. I loved how he had to grovel to earn Becca's trust back and how hard she tried to fight their intense chemistry that has only magnified with age.

While I really did enjoy this story, it was the second book of the series of two that dealt with a girl not quite sure if she was suited for the fighter pilot wife lifestyle. While I completely understand that it is difficult to be married to someone who moves that often and puts their life on the line, I'd love to see a different aspect explored in these books. I think we'll find that in book three, which is FINALLY Easy's story and I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR IT. Unfortunately, book 3 doesn't come out until January. Needless to say, I'm excited for another sexy fighter pilot fighting for the woman he loves.
