Stacking the Shelves (116)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what they got throughout the week!

From Netgalley/ecopy

I almost never request books from netgalley. When I do, I always download them and completely forget about them until they've already expired. But when I saw that they had Oh, Yeah, Audrey! I just couldn't resist. As a Audrey Hepburn fanatic, this book sounded right up my alley and I can't wait to read it! The other two are for blog tours and I'm especially excited for Caged in Winter. It's a new adult novel that sounds so good! I can't wait for the chance to finally read these books!

Half Price Books Warehouse Sale

Have any of you been to a Half Price Books Warehouse sale? Because, oh my gosh, it is a very overwhelming experience. I got to the convention center about 15 minutes before the sale opened and there was already a line that was almost out the door. I got a nice little free reusable tote, snagged a cart, and rushed into the ginormous room at exactly 9 am. There were tables upon tables of books and everything was $2 and under. I, of course, raced to the paperbacks first because those were going for only 50 cents a piece. I picked up 10 paperbacks for myself and 6 for my mom (not pictured) and then walked through the young adult tables. The young adult section is always so sad at these sales because they pretty much only sell middle grade novels, Twilight, Pretty Little Liars, and Lauren Conrad's LA Candy series. I was lucky enough, though, to see Catching Jordan for only 50 cents! Somehow, I lost my copy after my sister took it on vacation, so now I'm extremely happy to have the copy to complete my collection of the series. As for the rest of the books I got, I am beyond excited. I got some of my favorite authors and I am definitely excited that they had Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning for only 50 cents. My mom recommended it to me and I've been dying to read it, so now I finally can! In the end, I got these 14 books for only $9. I got another 6 for my mom for $3. I wanted even more, but I had to show some restraint. But it was definitely a fantastic morning and I'm already dying to go back...

That's it for me! What did you all add to your shelves this week?

  1. That sale sounds awesome! I wish we had something like that where I live :)
And you really should read Darkfever! I read the books pretty much back to back - very addictive, even though Mac was not my type of heroine in the beginning :)

I love the cover for the Audrey book! I hope you'll enjoy it!
