Follow My Book Blog Friday (124)

This is a meme hosted every Friday by Parajunkee, where book bloggers answer a question each week and check out how others answered it. It's a cool way for bloggers and viewers to connect and learn more about each other!

Question: What was the last book to make you cry?

Answer: Oh, I hate questions about crying. I rarely ever cry in a book, so it's really hard for me to answer these questions. When I do cry, it's a book that has such insane emotions that I end up being a blubbering mess..

But that's happened to me with, like, two books in my entire life. Now, many times my eyes have started to tear up, but no tears will actually fall. The last book to do that to me was…

Pieces of Me by Amber Kizer. This one has to do with a girl who dies following the lives of the multiple teens who received her organs. The teens are dealing with a lot of troubles in life and have to live with the really complicated medical problems that come with accepting someone else's organs. The end was so touching and I did tear up a bit. If you get the chance, you should definitely pick it up! There's a lot of emotion as you watch the characters grow and really look at what they want their lives to mean.

  2. Wow! That sounds like such an interesting concept and like something that would make me cry. I, unlike you, cry very easily over books, lol.

  6. Tried really hard not to chuckle at the gif, didn't work. I find I don't cry too often with books and things like movies too much. I get watery eyed and try to tame it the best I can. Can't have people thinking I'm the crazy girl crying over her books. Luckily most of my reads don't make me cry, but when they turn around and surprise me, my eyes do get watery.

Worse comes to worse I can claim "allergies"!
