Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what they got throughout the week!
I have to read Rule of the Bone for my methods education class this semester, and my teacher is absolutely obsessed with this book. He read it with his students every year when he was a high school English teacher and said that this book will change your life. So I guess we'll see how it goes!
From the library
For my Jane Austen Book Club, we're reading Wuthering Heights for the next meeting and I am so excited. I read it over four years ago in AP Lit and loved it, so hopefully I'll feel the same reading it again. For my YA Lit class this semester, the second book we have to read is a sci-fi (our first was a romance), so I decided to go with Cinder. I've been dying to read Cinder for forever, and now I have an excuse to finally force myself to read it. I can't wait to see if it's as awesome as everyone says it is! The last two I picked up after browsing through the library (which I really shouldn't do since I have so much to read already…). I've heard great things about them, so I decided to try them out if I can find the time!
That's it for me! What did you all add to your shelves this week?
45 Pounds made one of my friends cry. Cinder is awesome. Come check out my stack as well.ReplyDelete
45 pounds was not for me but I am definitely interested in what you think when you finish. Cinder is just fantastic :)ReplyDelete

Nice, Cinder! You're going to love the series, and I'm hoping to pick up Cress one of these days. It's also been a while since I read About A Boy, but I remember really enjoying it! Thanks for stopping by the blog :)ReplyDelete
I've never seen Rule of the Bone before, I hope your professor is right. I've heard wonderful things about both Cinder and 45 Pounds.ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by and happy reading :)
Never heard of 45 pounds, it looks fun. Hope you can stop by mine.ReplyDelete
I literally just finished Cinder... if you're a fan of sci fi, you are going to be in ecstasies over how good this book is! :)ReplyDelete
Ooo, Cinder! I enjoyed that one, but I never actually read Scarlet (or Cress). I don't know why - I guess I didn't like it enough to keep reading. I tend to not finish series a lot. Oh well :oReplyDelete
Have a fabulous weekend!
Check out my STS post!
OOh nice! These are new to me! Read Cinder but couldn't get into as well as everyone else! Hope you enjoy all these new reads!ReplyDelete
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!

My Showcase Sunday :)
It's nice to get to read amazing books for your classes. I really enjoyed all of the Lunar Chronicles books I have read. I hope you find Cinder to be to your taste. Come see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!ReplyDelete
About a Boy was awesome; I love Nick Hornby's books. I loved the film adaptation of that novel, too, and I'm quite curious about the upcoming TV version. Enjoy reading your books, and thanks for stopping by!ReplyDelete
Great haul! I am so happy to see that I am not the only person who still needs to read Cinder! I hope you enjoy all of your books :) My STS.ReplyDelete
Cinder (and the rest of the series!) is absolutely amazing! I hope you're enjoying it! Glad to hear you enjoyed Pieces of Me--it looked really interesting and I've enjoyed that author's work before! Thanks for stopping by my blog!ReplyDelete
Great haul! I've heard nothing but good things about The Lunar Chronicles but I STILL haven't even read the first book >_<ReplyDelete
Thanks for dropping by my StS! :D
Ooh, CINDER! I have that book also, but unfortunately, I haven't read it! I hope you enjoy all of your new additions you got this week!ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by my STS @ Addicted Readers! :)
I'll have to check out Rule of the Bone. I just got my M.Ed to be an English teacher, so I'm always on the lookout for what other English teachers teach. I love Nick Hornby. I really enjoyed About a Boy and am completely unsure of how I feel about this new show. We'll see. Great haul!ReplyDelete
Ummm, I read Rule of the Bone in college too, and though I enjoyed it, it didn't change my life. That is a bit of an exaggeration. I hope you enjoy it though!ReplyDelete
Yay for Cinder!
