This is a meme hosted every Friday by Parajunkee, where book bloggers answer a question each week and check out how others answered it. It's a cool way for bloggers and viewers to connect and learn more about each other!
Question: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you're feeling depressed or happy?
Answer: Haha, no. I prefer to read something with a happy ending no matter what mood I'm in. And I'm NEVER in the mood for a depressing book. Right now, I'm reading a book a girl who was bullied in school and I'm just not too into it because it's such a serious topic. When I read, I want to escape into a world that's enjoyable, not something depressing. So my mood doesn't really affect what I read at all. If it's a good book, I'm bound to love it no matter what mood I'm in!
Great answer! I totally agree with you, I love happy endings :) I tend to read more books when I'm happy, and less when I'm busy/stressed. Thanks for sharing!ReplyDelete
I like books with happy endings too! They are my favorites!ReplyDelete

Yes, my reading habits tend to change. When I'm really mad or upset, I'll tend to just lay on the couch and read a book or two in that day.

I'm like you, I like to read happy endings and I don't like books that are too serious. It totally dampens my mood!

Nice! Depressing books can be upsetting. I read my paranormals, which aren't depressing, but you know tragedy can strike in any book! But you know it's good writing when it gets an emotional reaction out of yourself!ReplyDelete
