Cover Reveal: Every Little Thing by Samantha Young

I am so excited to be part of the cover reveal for EVERY LITTLE THING by New York Times bestselling author, Samantha Young! The second book in the new Hart’s Boardwalk series returns to the picturesque Delaware beachside town for another heartfelt and sexy story…

Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed…

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We can’t wait for Bailey and Vaughn’s story! But in the meantime, we’re looking forward to the first book, The One Real Thing, that goes on sale September 6th! Pre-order the first book in the Hart’s Boardwalk series today!
Welcome to Hartwell, a quiet seaside escape where uncovering old secrets could lead one woman to discover the meaning of a love that lasts…
While Doctor Jessica Huntington engages with the inmates at the women’s correctional facility where she works, she’s always careful to avoid emotional attachments in her personal life.  Loss and betrayal taught her that lesson long ago. But when she comes across a set of old love letters in the prison’s library and visits the picturesque town of Hartwell to deliver them to their intended recipient, she finds herself unable to resist the town’s charm—and her attraction to the sexy owner of a local bar proves equally hard to deny.
Since his divorce from his unfaithful ex-wife, Cooper Lawson has focused on what really matters: his family and the boardwalk pub they’ve owned for generations.  But the first time Jessica steps into his bar, Cooper is beyond tempted to risk his heart on her.
Yet as their attraction grows hotter and Jessica remains stubbornly closed off, he begins to realize it will take more than just passion to convince her there’s only one real thing in life worth fighting for…
Book Review: Unfixable by Tessa Bailey
Unfixable
By Tessa Bailey
Release Date: April 14, 2014
Source: Amazon
He’s the last thing she wants...but the only thing she needs.
Willa Peet isn’t interested in love. She’s been there, done that, and has the shattered heart to prove it. Ready to shake the breakup, she heads to Dublin, Ireland. But there’s a problem. A dark-haired, blue-eyed problem with a bad attitude that rivals her own. And he’s not doling out friendly Irish welcomes.
Shane Claymore just wants to race. The death of his father forced him off the Formula One circuit, but he’s only staying in Dublin long enough to sell the Claymore Inn and get things in order for his mother and younger sister. He never expected the sarcastic American girl staying at the inn to make him question everything.
But even as Willa and Shane’s fiery natures draw them together, their pasts threaten to rip them apart. Can Shane give up racing to be with the woman he loves, or will Willa’s quest to resurrect the tough-talking, no-shit-taking girl she used to be destroy any hope of a future together?
Sarah from Words With Sarah has highly recommended this book to me for a couple of months now and I have been dying to read it. I mean, helloooooo, the main character goes to Ireland. Yes, please! So when I saw this one on sale on kindle for 99 cents, I bought it and never looked back.
Willa Peet is unfixable. She is heading to Ireland to forget the heartache and heartbreak she has suffered over the boy who tried to fix her and just couldn't. When she arrives, she is definitely NOT looking for another relationship with anyone, let alone the broody and infuriating Shane, the owner of the Claymore Inn where she is staying for her trip. Ever since his father died, Shane Claymore has been tied to his family's inn, being the overbearing big brother for his sister and taking care of his fragile mother. While Willa and Shane butt heads the moment they meet, their intensity draws them together, where they force one another to unearth their pasts that they're both running from.
There's nothing I love more in a romance than a main couple that absolutely detests each other in the beginning. There's just something so fun about the guy and the girl trading insults and really getting under each other's skins. Willa and Shane both work to get a rise out of each other, which makes them both so emotionally vulnerable. This forces them to acknowledge their past mistakes and insecurities that they're both obviously trying to ignore. While some parts were cringeworthy with how brutally honest and raw they were with each other, it just made their relationship that much more powerful and substantial.
Did I mention that this book took place in Ireland? And that Shane is Irish? Ummm because it did. And he is. Can you say YUMMMM? Ugh, despite the fact that Shane was really brooding and harsh in the beginning, he was just so yummy and really did have a soft side. And I loved how protective he was of his sister. Her character was a fun addition to the story and I enjoyed how Willa found someone to actually befriend and care for despite her belief that she has a heart of stone. There were lots of fun, quirky side characters and I loved every one of them.
If you love books with travel and emotionally damaged characters, you are going to love Unfixable. There is some definite emotion and damaged pasts that need hashing out before either of our main characters can move on in their lives. Did I mention that Shane is Irish? Enough said.
Waiting On Wednesday (152)
This is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine where every Wednesday bloggers highlight a book that they are eagerly anticipating the release of!
Furious Rush
By SC Stephens
Release Date: August 23, 2016
For Mackenzie Cox, racing motorcycles is in her blood. Born into a family legacy, she's determined to show the world that she has inherited her father's talent in this male-dominated sport. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonised by her rival team's newest rider, Hayden Hayes. Hayden, exceedingly arrogant and outrageously attractive, immediately gets under Kenzie's skin and she can't help but be distracted.
As Kenzie and Hayden push each other on the track, the electric energy between them off the track shifts into an intense - and strictly forbidden - attraction. The only rule between their two ultra-competitive teams is zero contact. Kenzie needs a win, and she also needs to stay away from Hayden. Unfortunately for her though, one thing has become all too clear: she can't.
Fuelled by passion, driven by desire, Hayden and Mackenzie both want to win more than anything else. Except for, maybe, each other. But anger, jealousy and extreme competitiveness aren't their only obstacles . . .
------------------------------------
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK. Like, ridiculously excited. I love SC Stephens and her Thoughtless series is the best. So I knew that I had to read her next release no matter what it was about. But, come on, it's about racing! I love books that have to do with racing and I love how the main girl is a racer instead of only having the guy be the racer while the girl just watches. I can't wait to see how she turns out to be and how the romance between her and her enemy on the track plays out!
Book Review: Settling the Score: Out of Bounds by RS Grey
Settling the Score: Out of Bounds
By RS Grey
Release Date: August 1, 2016
I despise Erik Winter.
He’s arrogant and cruel—a man I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy—and by some twisted turn of fate, he’s my new Olympic gymnastics coach.
I’ve had to contend with gruff coaches in the past, but Erik is far worse. His stern demeanor complements a body built for intimidation, and his reprimands come from a mouth so cunning, I know it could strip me of my defenses—if I let it.
Though each of us would love to be rid of the other forever, we are bound to each other by need and necessity. I’m his rising star, his best shot at proving himself to his critics. And without a coach, I have zero chance of winning gold in Rio.
The easiest way forward would be to wave a white flag and make peace with the man I’ll be sharing close quarters with for the foreseeable future, but he is intent on war.
Fine. By. Me.
If he pushes me, I’ll push back harder. If he wants to test me, to play with my head, I’ll show him just how many boundaries I’m willing to cross. Because I know it’s not a choice between winning or warring—not if you can have them both. At the end of it all, I plan on leaving Rio with gold around my neck and his icy heart in the palm of my hand.
I am obsessed with every book RS Grey writes. OBSESSED. Scoring Wilder will always and forever be my absolute favorite book by her, but I have been loving her Summer Games series and couldn't wait to read about a hardheaded gymnast falling for her coach!
Erik Winter is not a nice guy. He's as focused and harsh as they come, telling you exactly how it is. So when he first meets Brie, the most talented of the five gymnastic Olympians he needs to coach, he is taken aback by her fiery attitude. Brie needs to win in Rio in order to give back to her mom for everything she has sacrificed for her, but for some reason, Brie just can't help but get under Erik's skin. With an undeniable attraction, Brie finds herself pushing Erik to the edge as he pushes right back. As they continue to play, though, Brie isn't so sure she can handle the game…
Wow, this book is Hot with a capital H. This is definitely the steamiest of books I read from RS Grey and that definitely isn't a bad thing. Brie and Erik start off instantly not getting along, so if you like books where the main couple really doesn't get along and likes to bicker and fight, you'll absolutely love this one. While I did like how much they got to each other, I wasn't a huge fan of how after every single time they even came close to getting together or progressing in their relationship, one of them immediately had to shut down. I understood their reactions the first few times, but after awhile it became repetitive and really slowed down any real progress in their relationship. But the bickering was so much fun and it was just the nature of their relationship.
I am a huge sports romance fan and it's difficult to find a book that gives me enough sports AND romance. While Out of Bounds gave me hot and heavy romance and some of Brie's training, when it came to the culmination of Brie's actual Olympic games, it was a fade to black and jumped right to the results. Where was the huge moment where she finally competed and proved herself? I wanted to see that! I remember that exact kind of pacing happened in the first book in this series where the soccer games were skipped completely and we only got the before and after. Some people would probably not notice this, but since I love my sports and love seeing the characters really in their element, I was a bit let down. That being said, though, I still loved the whole Olympic village setting, which is where the last half of this book takes place, and it was fun seeing how crazy all of the athletes could get.
Overall, I still really enjoyed Out of Bound despite the omission of some sporty moments and the intense hot and cold relationship between the main characters. There were fantastic side characters that Brie got to train with and I loved getting to know Erik and seeing him be really vulnerable after seeing him so tough and rough as the gymnastics coach. If you want a steamy romance that will get you hyped for the upcoming Olympics, and if you love a yummy former male gymnast and an insanely talented female gymnast, you must read Out of Bounds!
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
