I FINALLY got Wither from the library and seriously can't wait to read it! And I've heard great things about Legend, so I'm excited to see how that one turns out. Dystopian has become huge and I've got to say it's a pretty good genre! So hopefully both of these are fun reads! And then there's The Iron Duke. It's a steampunk romance, which I'm very intrigued about because I've never actually read a steampunk novel before. I'm hoping it's good because I've heard a lot of people like that genre! Look at me branching out away from my contemporary novels :)

Shelf Candy Saturday (29)

Shelf Candy is a meme hosted by Five Alarm Book Reviews and every Saturday, bloggers choose a book whose cover really catches their eye. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I always do, so I'm choosing books whose cover alone made me pick it up. So I hope you enjoy my shelf candy!

These books are just so freaking cute!! They are both so fun and adorable and totally capture the feeling of the stories. And I love the fonts! And the colors! And the backgrounds! Yeah, I pretty much love everything about these covers. The only thing I would change is that I wish it showed St. Clair on Anna and the French Kiss. But that's because I just want to see his face :) Haha, but other than that these books just make you want to take them home and stare longingly at them. They are the definition of a great contemporary novel, with the fun covers and the amazing stories. If you haven't yet, you have to read these books now! You're seriously missing out on a great author!

Question: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month? 

Best

Between the books I've read in February and March, these two would definitely be the best. Both of them were SO good and I literally could not put either of them down. If you haven't read them, check out my reviews for Forbidden and Divergent NOW, then go get a copy of the books! You seriously won't regret it! 

Worst

This is one of those books that looked so good, I picked it up at Barnes and Noble and bought it. Big mistake. The story was so boring, drawn out, and had a perfectly resolved plot (aka COMPLETELY unrealistic). After looking at the reviews as I was writing my review on goodreads, I realized I was not alone in my feelings towards this book. I learned a huge lesson to research my books before spending the money to buy them. Despite the gorgeous cover, you do not want to waste your time with this one!

I LOVE Deb Caletti's books, so when I saw she had a new one coming out, I could help but get super excited!!! What's funny about this one, though, is that the girl's name is Cricket, just like the main guy in Lola and the Boy Next Door. It's such an unusual name, yet it's in two books by amazing contemporary ya authors? Hopefully I'll remember it's a girl in this book! And Ash sounds amazing!!!! There's nothing like falling in love when everything else in your life is falling apart. Ahhhh I'm so excited! Can't wait to get my hands on this new one! I know it's bound to be as great as Caletti's other books :)

Review: Bella Riley's books are just so gosh darn cute! In With This Kiss, we follow the journey of Rebecca, who is Andi's best friend (from Home Sweet Home). Rebecca was supposed to be marrying Stu, her best friend from college, but they realize they never really loved each other, so the wedding is off and Stu runs away. Now, Rebecca is left by herself to tell everyone the news while wishing she could have the firework-romance she's always longed for. Sean, Stu's older brother, didn't hear about the cancelation and showed up to the inn Rebecca worked at for the wedding. Fortunately for Sean and Rebecca, with one look at each other, they were both gone. 

Sean is such a hard, non-emotional man, harboring a secret of his mother's from 20 years ago that has ruined any chance of trust for any woman in his life. Meeting Rebecca is surely a change in what he's grown comfortable with in his life and he has no idea how to deal with his new feelings. I love how Rebecca is so honest and not afraid to say what she thinks. She wears her heart on her sleeve and I admire her courage and loyalty to everyone in her life, even to those who have hurt her. Rebecca's strength and honesty did get her in trouble at times, but it's what made Sean fall for her even harder. Sean and Rebecca's attraction was undeniable, so it was so fun watching them deal with the feelings that they were fighting hard against. 

I absolutely loved the setting of the novel, taking place at an inn in Emerald Lake. Everything about it is quant and serene; it's a place where anyone would love to stay to just get away from everything in the world. It fit Rebecca's personality perfectly and was the perfect place for Sean to go to next after he sold his business. After reading this book, I wished I could check into a room at Emerald Lake and wait for the dark and mysterious stranger to move in down the hall. It worked for Rebecca, so why not me? If you're in the mood for a feel-good, cute romance, then check out any of Bella Riley's books! You're bound to be left with a smile on your face :) 

Knotty Knitters

So recently I've been taking forever to read books, which has been really annoying to me. It normally takes me a couple of days to read a new book but the last book I read took a week to finish! You want to know what's been taking up my time? I formed my own club at school called The Knotty Knitters! 

For the club, a group of my friends and I knit items to donate to the local hospital's emergency room. It's so much fun because I absolutely love knitting and I've been able to get my friends into knitting too! Here are some stuff I have made for the club: 

  

I love knitting so much now that I've literally been doing nothing else! My mom taught me how to knit in December and here are some things I've made for myself: 

 

And over the weekend I learned how to crochet! I can't wait to start crocheting afghans and accessories! Once I make more, I will be sure to share them! In the meantime, I'll be doing something I love while helping those in need. Who knew college could be so fun? :)
