Waiting on Wednesday (11)

This is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine where every Wednesday bloggers highlight a book that they are eagerly anticipating the release of!

Unleashed
By Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
Release Date: December 13th
Summary: Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie, the New York Times bestselling authors of the Wicked series, have created an entirely new trilogy with the passion of Twilight and the grandeur of Fallen. The Wolf Springs Chronicles introduces readers to a town of secrets and the new girl who's about to start believing in werewolves.

I think what made me most excited to read this book is the vague summary. All I got out of it is a passionate book that is going to outdo Twilight and Fallen. Oh, yeah, and there's werewolves. Seriously, this mysterious synopsis mades me want to read this book so much more! And the cover is so intriguing. It hints at romance, but showcases the moon, bringing up the whole werewolf aspect. I always did like werwolves :) So I can't wait for a new paranormal series to fall head over heels in love with and I have a feeling that Unleashed is going to be that series!

Book Review: Nights In Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks

Summary: Adrienne Willis is broken. Her husband just left her for a far younger women, so she runs off to look over her friend's inn at Rodanthe. Where she was hoping to find peace she is greeted by a thunderstorm and her only guest, Dr. Paul Flanner. Adrienne soon learns that she isn't the only person at the inn who's broken. After spending more time with each other, can Adrienne and Paul build better lives and forget their mistakes and heartbreak?

Review: Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE Nicholas Sparks's book, but I just couldn't even like this book. Maybe it was because I had already seen the movie, but I didn't care about any of the characters. I felt like all they did was talk about the same things that are wrong with them over and over again. When I saw the movie I cried but when I read the book I just read faster, trying to finish it sooner. Also, I didn't really enjoy reading about 40 year olds in love. It may be because I'm a lot younger, but I just didn't care. I would have liked to read more about Adrienne's daughter and the husband she lost than Adrienne herself. It just lacked the chemistry and full-blown romance that I'm used to from Sparks. Nights In Rodanthe is probably Nicholas Sparks's worst book, but I know that I'll never stop reading his stuff. I've gone through his worst, so there are only good things to come from him!

Shelf Candy (9)

Shelf Candy is a meme hosted by Five Alarm Book Reviews and every Saturday, bloggers choose a book whose cover really catches their eye. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I always do, so I'm choosing books whose cover alone made me pick it up. So I hope you enjoy my shelf candy!

I love books about mermaids, so it's no surprise that I really like this cover. It's so cool that the picture actually shows a girl between the sea and sky while giving off the magical mermaid essence. The colors are so pretty and the girls outfit goes perfect with the earthy scene. I really can't wait for this book to come out (Oct 25th 2011) because I am for sure going to read it!

Kiss Crush Collide
By Christina Meredith
Release Date: December 27th
Summary: Leah has the life most high school girls would kill for—popularity, glowing grades, a rich, athletic boyfriend. So why does she feel like she can’t breathe? And why can’t she stop thinking about the boy from the country club? The one who isn’t her boyfriend, the one that her mother would never, ever approve of, the one that her perfect older sisters would never, ever look at twice. The one who is always looking back at her. Irresistible attraction, smoldering glances, the bad boy and the good girl—Kiss Crush Collide has everything that a steamy forbidden romance should, and then some.

With graceful and honest writing and an electric love story, this is a book about growing into your own skin. For fans of Perfect Chemistry, Sarah Dessen, and John Green.

I really really really want to read this book!!!! This cover looks like one of Simone Elkeles's books, and she is by far one of my favorite authors! This being said, I know Kiss Crush Collide is going to be just as amazing! I mean, Leah has everything, but her life is so empty. Until she meets hot country club boy! Thus forms the steamy forbidden romances, which by the way are my all-time favorites to read about!!! Just looking at it makes me excited to read this book! I seriously can't wait for this one to come out!

Forever Contemporary Romance Book Tour and Giveaway

I am super excited to be a part of the Forever Contemporary Romance Bog Tour! I received and reviewed two amazing books! Check them out below :)

Summary: What if you can go home again?
Ten years and two hundred miles. That's what separates Andi Powell from quiet, secluded Emerald Lake-and that's exactly how she likes it. But now her job brings her back to the hometown she's tried so hard to forget . . . and to Nate Duncan, the man she's never been able to.

Nate once looked at Andi with love in his eyes. But that was before she left him in the dust to pursue her big-city dreams. Now he's the town's ruggedly handsome mayor with the power to break Andi's career like she broke his heart. As the two clash over the future of Emerald Lake, the sparks that fly between them rekindle a passion neither of them can deny.

Andi may have left town looking for the life she thought she wanted. But could everything she needs have been in Emerald Lake all along?
***Check out my review here***

Summary: Dear Reader,
You won't believe what's happened. My son Tulane has come back home! You remember Tulane? He'd set out to find fame and fortune in the big, wide world outside of Last Chance, and I'm mighty proud. But that's not the half of it-Tulane isn't only back, he's brought a young lady with him.

Now Sarah-she does PR for Tulane's stock-car team-she's from Boston, but she's just about the sweetest girl you could meet. I think she's meant to keep Tulane out of trouble after that story in the papers, but he doesn't want to talk about it. Anyhow, the Ladies Auxiliary can't wait to start matchmaking and introduce Sarah to our Reverend Ellis. But mark my words, Sarah is tired of being a good girl. And no one is better at breaking the rules and raising Cain than my son . . .

Listen to me going on and keeping customeres waiting. I best get back to work, but you come round again. The Cut 'n' Curl's got hot rollers, free coffee, and the best gossip in town.
See you real soon,
Ruby Rhodes

Book Review: Home Sweet Home by Bella Riley

Summary: What if you can go home again?
Ten years and two hundred miles. That's what separates Andi Powell from quiet, secluded Emerald Lake-and that's exactly how she likes it. But now her job brings her back to the hometown she's tried so hard to forget . . . and to Nate Duncan, the man she's never been able to.

Review: Awww this book was such a sweet read! I loved Andi right from the start and I couldn't help but root for her the entire book. She's a strong-willed woman who strives to be the best in life. When she goes back home, you can really feel out cute Emerald Lake is. And then, when Nate comes into the story, you really want to read this book. Nate is the guy every girl dreams about: sweet, caring, and really good with kids. He never stopped loving Andi even though she's been gone for 10 years, which is so cute! Watching Andi remember everything she loved about her home and her relationship with Nate rekindle was just so refreshing. This book is a light, sweet read that is perfect to read out on a cool, fall day. Some parts were a little slow, but other than that I just felt happy when I was done. So if you want a cute book that makes you smile, then pick this one up! It feels just like home :)
