Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'd Give to Readers Who Have Never Read New Adult

This is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week bloggers share a list of books for the prompt given. So hopefully I'll have a new list to share with you all each week!

This Week's Topic: Top Ten Books I'd Give Readers Who Have Never Read New Adult

I know there's a lot of speculation if New Adult is an actual genre or not. Whether or not it is, I have become addicted to books that take place during the "new adult" period of a person's life. There are so many that I've been dying to read that I know are the most popular New Adult novels. The ones that I have managed to read, though, have been pretty darn good. Here are my top ten New Adult novels that everyone should try out to get a taste of one of my favorite genres.

1. Faking It by Cora Carmack
2. Thoughtless by SC Stephens
3. On Dublin Street by Samantha Young

4. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
5. The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen
6. Love Story by Jennifer Echols

7. Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young
8. Connected by Kim Karr
9. The Edge of Never by JA Redmerski

10. Deeper by Robin York

  1. I'm not sure I've really read any New Adult but these look interesting. I've heard great things about Before Jamaica Lane and Cora Carmack's books though. I'll definitely have to try a few of these!

  2. I've kind of drifted away from the NA genre over the past two years but I see some great choices on your list. I still haven't got around to reading Beautiful Disaster but I hope to sometime soon.

  3. I'm so curious about New Adult. I have to admit it honestly confuses me. I get the distinction but I'm not one for labeling books by age range in general. Thanks for the recommendations. I'm planning to read White Hot Kiss by JLA as my first NA. Any thoughts on that one?

  4. Nice! Those are all new to me! I'm all for giving New Adult a try, but yet, there's so very few Paranormal New Adults. I have read a few though and naturally loved them all!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

  6. I've been interested in getting into NA, but so far I've only read one or two books from the genre. But those two were really enjoyable.
Have you read Ten Tiny Breathes yet? I've heard that ones a great NA book and I've been wanting to read it for the longest time.

  7. This has been a popular topic today. I haven't read much new adult, but I'm scared to because most of the books are indie-published, at least what I've seen, and I'm afraid of indie-published books. I've been burned by them too much in the past. But, there have been a few common books on the TTT lists today. I'll have to give them a try.

  9. I'm self conscious enough without reading Faking It, but I'm sure it's great ;)
