Author Interveiw/Giveaway: Sherry Gammon

I am very excited to announce that today I have an interview with Sherry Gammon, author of Unlovable! She is here to share a little about her first novel! 

What three words would you use to describe "Unlovable"?

Heart-rending, Courageous, Lovable (I hope!)

How did you get the idea of a girl falling in love with an undercover cop? 

I used to have a serious crush on all Cops and Fireman when I was in high school!

If you could be one character from your book, who would you be and why?

I really like Bambi, the Goth Librarian. She loves books and she is completely in love with her werewolf- loving boyfriend! She is funny without knowing it.

Why writing? Have you always loved it or is it something new? 

I have always loved writing. I started writing as a child when I went through some rough times. It helped me to put things down on paper and work them through. It was a safe place to express myself.

What are your inspirations when you write? When you get stuck, what do you do? 

Inspirations: music. I would play ‘Because of You’ by Kelly Clarkson when I needed an emotional boost for the Maggie scenes, and I loved to listen to ‘Finally,’ by Fergie for the love scenes.

What do you do when you're not writing? 

Clean toilets and do laundry. My life is not glamorous.

What is your favorite book/author and why? 

Les Miserable by Victor Hugo. It is so beautifully written, I couldn’t stop reading, and it is a huge book! I would love to write a novel that affects people as much as Les Mes affects people.  I love that Story, but I hated the ending.

What's next?

Books 2 and 3 of the series of course, and I am working on a fun Fairy tale spoof also!
