Question: Pick a book in your favorite genre that you'd recommend to a reluctant reader.
Answer: Oooh that's a hard one. That means I have to first pick my favorite genre, and then pick a book that would show someone just how awesome that genre is. Thinking it over, I'd say that my favorite genre would have to be YA Contemporary Romance. That being said, the book I would recommend to a reluctant reader to show them how amazing that genre is would have to be…
Crash Into You by Katie McGarry! It's probably because this is the one that I most recently read and was complete obsessed with as I was reading it. Katie McGarry is one of my favorite authors and this one was just SO GOOD. I absolutely loved the romance and the added racing plot line was a ton of fun. I think that if someone is going to try out YA Contemporary Romance, this one would be the perfect novel to start with. While it is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone because there's enough background information given to understand the characters and their pasts.
So that's my choice! Of course, there are tons of other books I would recommend to a reader who wanted to get into my favorite genre, but that would take days to get through. What YA Contemporary Romance would you guys recommend to a reluctant reader?
