Losing It
By Cora Carmack
Release Date: October 15, 2012
Source: Netgalley
Summary: Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Review: New adult books have seriously been catching my attention recently, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to read it. And who wouldn't want to read about a girl falling for her yummy British theater professor? Sounds like my kind of man!

Bliss is entering the final semester of her senior year and there's one problem: She's still a virgin. Determined to change that, Bliss let's her best friend take her out the night before classes start. Many shots of tequila later, Bliss finds herself in a conversation with an extremely attractive British guy reading Shakespeare. Bliss and her new catch Garrick flirt incessantly until they find themselves back at Bliss's apartment. Just when things are getting hot and heavy, though, Bliss freaks out, leaving the charming British guy all alone. The next day bliss wakes up with a serious hangover and feeling like a total idiot. Just when things can't get any worse, Bliss walks into her theater class taught by none other than Garrick, the guy from last night. How can Bliss survive the semester in a class taught by a guy she most definitely can't get out of her head?

Oh boy, if I were Bliss I would seriously fall as deep as she did. Come on, a British theater professor who reads Shakespeare named Garrick? Who wouldn't fall for that? I was a little worried that the whole student-falls-for-the-teacher thing would be cliche, but that was definitely not the case here. Bliss was a really great character to read about and I loved how she was a theater major who wasn't sure if she wanted to be on stage or behind the scenes. All of her friends are awesome and add their own unique part to the story. Her relationship with Cade adds a whole other element to the plot, which definitely made her relationship with Garrick a whole lot more complicated.

There were scenes in the book that were just so darn cute that I still can't get over them. Garrick is seriously the perfect guy. And I loved the whole college atmosphere of this book. With the theater focus, the story was a lot more interesting and unique and I could not put it down. I couldn't wait to see how Garrick and Bliss would handle their feelings for each other, not only because of that one super embarrassing night but also because of the whole student-professor deal. There was just so much to obsess over in this book!

In the end, though, I wish more had happened and that the book had gone on longer than only 184 pages. I wanted so much more of Bliss and gorgeous Garrick! I would still recommend this book to any New Adult fan. You get a very complicated relationship with a very yummy guy. What more could you ask for in a book?
