Waiting On Wednesday (104)

This is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine where every Wednesday bloggers highlight a book that they are eagerly anticipating the release of!

This Song Will Save Your Life
By Leila Sales
Release Date: September 17, 2013
Summary: Making friends has never been Elise Dembowski’s strong suit. All throughout her life, she’s been the butt of every joke and the outsider in every conversation. When a final attempt at popularity fails, Elise nearly gives up. Then she stumbles upon a warehouse party where she meets Vicky, a girl in a band who accepts her; Char, a cute, yet mysterious disc jockey; Pippa, a carefree spirit from England; and most importantly, a love for DJing.

Told in a refreshingly genuine and laugh-out-loud funny voice, THIS SONG WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE is an exuberant novel about identity, friendship, and the power of music to bring people together.

I've seen this book around a lot, but I never stopped to read the summary. Now that I finally know what it's about, the story sounds so intriguing and I'm excited to see how Elise's new passion for DJing and her new friends change her life.

  1. YES! I love books that feature music in them and so this is already on my to-read list. However, I've heard that it's not as light as it looks from the cover.

  2. This does sound interesting! Music has because very popular in books lately, and being the band dork I am, I don't mind :-) My WoW.

  5. I want to read this one so bad! I loved her book Past Perfect and even though this one isn't supposed to be as funny as that one, I'm sure it's still awesome!
