This is a meme hosted every Friday by Parajunkee, where book bloggers answer a question each week and check out how others answered it. It's a cool way for bloggers and viewers to connect and learn more about each other!
Question: Activity: Spine Poetry. Create a line of poetry with your book spines (take a picture). Not feeling creative? Tell us about your favorite poem.
Answer: Anddddd this is why I'm not a big fan of activity posts. I'm not currently at home and only have two books, four Shakespeare plays, and my nook with me. Yeah, I'm not going to be able to take a picture of that poetry!
I really don't have a favorite poem either. I mean, Shel Silverstein is awesome and I love Dr. Seuss. That's about as deep as I get. Haha, being an English Ed major with an English Lit minor, you'd think I'd have a favorite poem, but poetry is something I see as schoolwork, not something I fall in love with and read for pleasure. Unless it's super fun and cool like Silverstein and Dr. Seuss. So I guess that's my answer! Sorry for it being so lame, but that's all I got!
That's not lame at all - I get exactly what you're saying. I had to read so many poems for a class last year, I almost choked on them o.O
ReplyDeleteOld bloglovin' follower, here's my FF post for this week.
Have a fantastic Friday.
I'm not really into poems too, but I had a lot a fun creating my spine poem:)

Lovely looking blog :-)

Don't feel bad! I was an English major too and while I enjoyed reading poems occasionally, I always got frustrated with them because I always interpreted them wrong--at least according to all my English teachers and professors. I guess I saw thing that didn't exist!
ReplyDeleteShel Sliverstein was a childhood fave for me though! Odd since now I love all my "dark" reads of paranormal characters!
Here's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!

I know what you mean. I love English, but poetry was always something I tried to like for the sake of class.. not something I read much outside of it.
ReplyDeleteGood answer, though. Can't go wrong with Shel Silverstein or Dr. Suess!!

I love Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss too! Nothing wrong with that. As a former English major, I completely understand your thinking...very often, poetry was schoolwork not fun. Old follower.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I used a Shel Silverstein poem! New follower on bloglovin!

Hi new follower! I chose a poem I studied when I was younger because I don't really read poetry that much any more
