Release Date: June 2, 2015

Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screw-up could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.

Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage…

After reading and absolutely loving Slow Burn, I could not wait to get my hands on Sweet Ache. How could I resist the story of a hot rock star falling for the TA of the course he's forced to teach at a college thanks to his troublemaker twin brother?

Rockstar Hawkin Play is used to having girls fall at his feet. He's also used to his twin brother getting into trouble and needing Hawkin's help to bail him out. This time, though, things go too far and Hawkin takes the fall for his brother's serious crime and finds himself being forced to teach a college course, which he definitely doesn't need in his life right now. When his TA Quinlan Westin shows up with her sharp tongue and indifference towards his rock star status, Hawkin is definitely up for the challenge and more intrigued by his new teaching position. But with his brother constantly testing him and Quin slowly showing her trust in him, Hawkin realizes he can't always have what he wants…

Have I mentioned that I love rockstars? Because I LOVE rock stars. I fell in love with them in SC Stephen's books and Hawkin is definitely a drool worthy rock star. I loved how dedicated he was to saving his brother and how vulnerable he was with the situation with his mom. Then, he could totally turn it on and be the super hot singer who was definitely aware of how much women liked him. Hawkin was definitely yummy and one of the best parts of this book!

As for Quin, I really loved her character, too. She tried to act all cool around Hawkin but was internally trying to resist the intense attraction she had for him. And when they got together, they could not keep their hands off of each other, which I loved. I was a little annoyed with the cliche "bet" storyline that popped up in the book, but that was only a minor thing. Also, the story seemed to go on a little bit too long and I would have been happy with it ending earlier than it did. Sometimes, you just have to let them be!

K Bromberg delivered yet another addicting, hot story with some incredibly lovable characters. I couldn't get enough of the chemistry between Quin and Hawkin, but their story did not need to drag on as much as it did. In the end, I'm happy to say that this is another success from K Bromberg and I cannot wait to dig into Hard Beat!
