Review: This is my first historical romance in the highlander background, and boy did I love it! There's a reason it's called Tamed by a Highlander because Mairi had such a wild, fiery personality and only the hunky highlander Conner could tame her fight and passion. It took me a little bit to get into the story because I kept on getting confused between all of the different names and titles of people, but after that I just couldn't get enough. It was so much fun to read about how they both loved each other, but thought the other wanted nothing to do with them. Their romance was so sweet yet full of passion at the same time that it left me wanting so much more. One thing that took some time getting used to was how they all talked in Irish accents, using words like "ye" for you and "fer" as for. Having them speak like that in my mind though made the Irish men, especially Connor, all that more enticing with their accents (because I love me some sexy accents). This may have been my first highlander romance, but it will definitely not be my last!

Book Review: Tamed by a Highlander by Paula Quinn
Summary: Seven years after Conner Grant left his first love to fight for the King's army, he still hasn't returned home. Those seven years Mairi MacGregor has sworn to never let another man hurt her as much as Conner did leaving her, but things change when she meets him again at the King's castle in England. While trying to ignore her desire for Conner with his closeness, Mairi must work with the man who broke her heart to save the kingdom and her beloved highlands by finding the traitor among them. Can Mairi put her heart into fighting for her home without losing it to Conner again after all those years?

Paula Quinn is such a magical storyteller. The Mac Gregor Clan goes down deep in your heart and soul. All her books are amazing. Conner is a forever kind of leading man.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love Conner so much after reading this! With the accent and muscles, what else could I need :)
