I take my job seriously. There will be no smoldering bedroom eyes across the operating table, no angry almost-kisses in the storage closet. (Well, no more of those.)

Book Review: Possession by TM Frazier

Seriously, how does TM Frazier do it? Everything I read by her is dark and angsty and I can never get enough. As soon as Perversion ended, I was DYING to get my hands on Possession! 

Grimm and Emma Jean met and never forgot one another. Now, they're on opposite sides of a gang war. They will do anything it takes to get back to one another, even if it means killing everyone who stands in their way. 

So much happened in book one, so I was ready for even more crazy stuff to happen in this book. Like I expected, we started off right where the first book left off and watched Emma Jean go through some pretty terrible things. It was definitely hard to read at times, but I'm glad we got to see her endure and try to cope with what had happened to her. I still adored her relationship with Grim and how close of a relationship they shared with one another. 

I will say, it did get to be a bit much with how convenient some things were or how many characters fell for the same exact ruse multiple times throughout the story. It came to the point where it was obvious something wasn't right and I knew exactly why before it was even revealed. Other than that, though, this book was still packed with action and some serious heat! 

Overall, since this is only book two of the trilogy, I was still left wanting more, which is definitely a good thing. I want book three now! TM Frazier is not afraid to make bad things happen to her characters and she really puts them through the ringer! If you like a dark and forbidden romance, you'll love the Perversion trilogy!

As soon as I read the synopsis for this book, I was super intrigued. I never read dystopian romances, but I had a good feeling that this was going to be a book I wasn't going to be able to put down!

In a world where males are running out, the remaining fertile males are known as The End Men and their sole job is to help repopulate the earth. Folsom is used to keeping up his rigorous schedule of at least three appointments a day and father hundreds of children. When it's time to impregnate Gwen, though, Folsom feels things he's never felt for any woman he's been with before. Gwen has wanted a child for so long, but once she meets Folsom, she's not so sure she can live with her society that does not treat men like the human beings they are. But the government is much stronger than Gwen and Folsom could have ever imagined. 

While I was reading this book, I was getting such Handmaid's Tale vibes and I was loving every minute of it. It was so cool reading about a society almost solely made up of women and how they mentioned things that men have done to the female population in the past. This society was so interesting and I loved seeing the new dynamics and what would happen in a world where there really were so few men. 

I really enjoyed Gwen's character and how caring she was compared to the other women in her life. From the moment she met Folsom, I felt their feelings for one another and watched their relationship grow into something so much more. Since this is a dystopian novel, I was kept on my toes for this whole book and was freaking out about what was going to happen next. And that ending!?!? Like, WHAT. Ugh, I am already dying to get my hands on book two to figure out what happens to these characters. 

I've definitely never read something like Folsom and I think everyone who wants a unique romance should pick this book up. There's a forbidden romance, mystery, and suspense and you won't be able to put this book down!

Words can't even begin to describe how much I've been anticipating this book. I love every book Charleigh Rose writes and I couldn't wait to read one that took place at a carnival! 

The night Evan Thorne met Sebastian MacAllister completely changed the course of her life. From being the good girl who always listened to her parents, Evan has become a hard shell of who she once was. When things get too hard to handle at home, Evan decides to turn to the only person she wants to be around anymore: Sebastian. Sebastian, though, is cursed and will push away anyone who comes too close to him. Living on the road as one of the Sons of Eastlake, Sebastian will do anything to keep his promise to his family, which becomes much harder with Evan crawling under his skin and into his heart. 

From the very first chapter, I was LIVING for the angst in this book. I loved how mysterious Sebastian and his life was and how alluring it was to Evan. With each fast-foward in the beginning, I loved the forbidden nature of their feelings and the anticipation of Sebastian and Evan finally giving into their intense bond with one another. 

The whole atmosphere of this novel was definitely one of my favorite parts of reading Evan's story. When Evan runs off with the carnival, I loved the close space she shared with Sebastian and his family, which made it harder for them to ignore their insane chemistry. I loved the danger that was a part of Sebastian's everyday life and how much Evan found herself living out of her comfort zone. I could not put this book down and devoured Evan and Sebastian's intense romance. 

Rewrite the Stars is one of my new favorite romances from Charleigh Rose and had everything I love, from angst to a brooding hero who tried everything to push the heroine away. I was obsessed with this romance and am so sad it went by so fast! For a unique and addicting read, you have to pick up Rewrite the Stars!
