Omg, YES! This is the book I wanted when I first heard that Samantha Young was writing a new series. I was let down when I read The One Real Thing because I couldn't connect to the main character or their romance. The moment I met Bailey and Vaughn, though, I knew their story was going to sizzle and boy was I right!

Bailey Hartwell loves everything about living in Hart, from owning her inn to having an amazing group of friends. But her cozy life is turned upside down when she is betrayed by someone she has trusted for a long time. Throw in the fact that Vaughn Tremaine, businessman and owner of a hotel in Hart who has been nothing but hostile with her since they met, actually shows up for her in her time of need, and Bailey has no idea what she wants from life any more. Vaughn admires Bailey for her dedication and loyalty to her town and friends, but he knows he's not cut out for a family or a small town like Hart. Bailey tests him, though, and shows him things about himself that he's never known before and they both find themselves falling faster than either of them could have predicted. 

It's no secret I love a good hate to love romance and boy did these two hate each other in the first book. I loved how much these two verbally sparred in this book and how neither of them could help how fiery they became around each other. What I loved most about this book, though, was getting inside of Vaughn's head and seeing that he actually respected and admired Bailey and his attitude towards her was more a reaction to his physical attraction. There is no denying there is an attraction between the two, but they are so convinced that they hate each other that the fact that they feel their chemistry makes them want to hate each other even more. That just makes it so much more entertaining when they realize they may actually like each other and not hate each other after all. 

With a couple as fiery as Bailey and Vaughn, there is definitely some heat between them physically as well. These two exploded through the pages and I loved every minute of it. It was fun seeing Bailey try to revaluate her life and decide what she really needed and watch Vaughn realize he actually wasn't the stuck up businessman he wanted everyone to see him as. As Vaughn's icy personality slowly thawed to the people of Hart, Bailey slowly started to see a man she could really love. *sigh* I just loved every second of their romance!

I am so excited that I have rediscovered my love for Samantha Young! She delivers a heart warming romance with some serious heat and an adorable cast of characters that you can't help but love. I am already excited for the next book in this series (especially Emery's book!) and I can't wait for more of these characters!

THAT'S RIGHT. I FINALLY READ THIS BOOK. Seeing as it's no secret that I love everything in the New Adult genre, I can't believe it took me four years to read this book. FOUR YEARS. It has been sitting on my shelves for probably two years and with the insistence of my followers, I finally picked it up! 

Avery Morganstern knew exactly what she wanted from a college when she picked it: Somewhere far from home. One night five years ago completely changed her life and she needs to go somewhere where no one can judge her for her past. She just wants to start over, make some friends, and pass her classes. Cameron Hamilton, though, was definitely not in those plans. Cam is fun and playful and makes Avery forget about the pain of her past, but when threatening emails and texts start showing up, Avery isn't so sure she's escaped her past or if she could ever open up enough to let Cam in. 

Oh, Cam. What a cutie! I am so serious, Cam was so adorable and patient with Avery that he had me sighing with every page. While he started out as the stereotypical player who got around, he wasn't as annoying as the typical character of that trope is. I loved how Cam didn't let Avery's shyness push him away and he made her feel comfortable after feeling so closed off for the past five years. And the more shirtless Cam was, the more I fell for him. Who wouldn't want a shirtless Cam around all the time?!

What I think I loved most about this book, though, was how it wasn't insta-lovey. Sure Cam instantly liked Avery and Avery couldn't deny how attractive Cam was, but Avery didn't fall all over him right away. I mean, the guy asked her out for TWO MONTHS before she even considered going on a date with him. And Avery had a really rough past that I think Jennifer Armentrout portrayed very realistically and carefully. Avery was just trying to be a normal person who could go out and have fun with friends without cringing every moment someone got too close to her. You really got to see Avery grow throughout this book thanks to Cam, which I absolutely loved. 

While my review makes this book seem all sunshine and roses, there were some rough patches for our main couple, which I felt made their relationship that much more realistic. I fell in love with both Cam and Avery and every other character in this book. I cannot wait to pick up the rest of this series (all of which I own) and get back into this amazing NA world!

From my experience, Lexi Blake's books are guaranteed to bring you sexy men who let their hearts take over what they know they should do and sway them into doing what they want to do. With a strong family relationship and incredibly attractive men, I couldn't wait to read book two in the Lawless series. 

Brandon Lawless and his siblings will do anything to clear their dead parents names and get back at those who had their parents killed. Unlike his brother Riley, though, Brandon isn't willing to lie to innocent women to get what they need. Instead, Brandon is upfront with Carly Hendricks, assistant to an awful woman who will do anything to stay on top. Carly is shocked when Drew comes to her with a proposition to take down her boss, but she's even more shocked about the way her body reacts to Brandon. Is what she feels just part of the plan, or are they really falling for each other? 

While the first book in this series was just an okay read, I found myself loving Brandon and Carly's story. I think I loved the fact that Brandon couldn't fake the relationship with Carly to get what he wanted, which was the storyline of the first book. Since Carly hated her boss anyways, she knew she was capable of what Brandon accused her of, but could she risk someone dear to her for that? I loved how Carly was such a selfless person, especially when it came to her sister. And Brandon was selfless too in the fact that he would do anything for his family. 

Onto the romance, I loved the chemistry between Carly and Brandon. Carly was so refreshing and I loved how she thought someone as good looking as Brandon would never notice her. She's not one to be noticed for her looks, so it was fun seeing her fall hard for Brandon and realize that it was real. There were also some heart pumping moments as well, which kept me on the edge of my seat. Who could Carly really trust and who was really behind the murder of Brandon's parents? 

I am so happy to say that I enjoyed this one much more than the first book in this series. I admired the Lawless family with their dedication to one another and their ambition to avenge their parents' death. I loved the romance in this book so much and if you want a relatable main character who falls for a swoon-worthy, charming man, you should pick this book up.

Book Review: The Wright Brother by KA Linde

First, can we take a moment to enjoy that cover? I mean, come on, how was I not going to pick this book up? 

Ever since a Wright brother broke her heart senior year of high school, Emery has sworn of the family. After finding her professor boyfriend cheating on her, she drops out of school and finds herself back in her hometown and crashing the wedding of the sister of said guy who broke her heart. What Emery doesn't expect, though, is to take one glance at Jensen Wright and feel a pull so strong she can't seem to stay away. Jensen needs to know who the sexy woman was at his sister's wedding, and the last person he expects her to be is his little brother's ex-girlfriend. But her past means nothing to him if it means getting to know her a little better…

This book had so much potential, but from the start I wasn't a fan of the characters. I liked the ideas the author had, but the way she executed them were just a little too over the top and a little too rushed. I wasn't a fan of the Emery and I got annoyed with the drama that was thrown in along the way just to act as an obstacle for Emery and Jensen. 

While this book did pick up about halfway through, I still found myself skimming the end just to finish. There were such cliche things to happen (jealous of someone when nothing was happening, crazy ex who wants him back, etc) and I wanted a more original story. I think that because I didn't like Emery, I wasn't able to enjoy her story or her relationship with Jensen as much as I wanted to. 

Overall this was just an okay read for me. Too many things started to bother me as the story continued and I just wanted to finish the book by the end. I didn't like the friendships or the siblings and the stereotypical roles they fell into. While the cover promised a steamy, addicting read, it missed the mark for me.

OMG IT'S THE LAST BOOK OF THE SERIES. If you didn't know, I am completely in love with the first three books in the Rock Star Romance series. I wasn't sure if we were getting any more of them from Erika, so when I saw this on Goodreads, I flipped out! I love how this is sort of second chance romance with the girl having a shot with her high school crush and he just so happens to be a rock star. I can't wait to get my hands on this!
