The first rule of book club:
You don't talk about book club.

Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott's marriage is in major league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.

Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.

Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville's top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it'll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner hero and win back the trust of his wife.

A romance about a baseball player joining a romance book club to win his wife back!? Where has this book been all my life???

Ever since I heard the synopsis of this book, I knew that I had to read it. As soon as I started this book and watched Thea ask Gavin for a divorce, my heart broke for the couple. I really enjoyed how neither character was villainized and how they were both at fault for the fall of their marriage. Both of them had to change and put effort into the fixing of their relationship. I did love how they still had some intense chemistry and really learned to communicate and show each other their love for one another.

What I most loved about this book, though, was the talk of romance novels! Gavin joins the book club, even though he has his doubts, and reads a historical romance that actually reflects his own relationship's journey. I loved how we got actual chapters from the book the group was reading and how Gavin then delved into other romances on his own. Their talk about romance was so fun and I loved all of the men in the club.

If you can't tell, I absolutely adored this book and couldn't put it down. The romance was fun and all romance readers will appreciate the look at romance and the utilization of the genre to save a real relationship. I highly recommend you pick this book up RIGHT NOW!
