Shelf Candy is a meme hosted by Five Alarm Book Reviews and every Saturday, bloggers choose a book whose cover really catches their eye. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I always do, so I'm choosing books whose cover alone made me pick it up. So I hope you enjoy my shelf candy!
So many things go through my mind when I see this cover. The first thing, obviously, is how pretty it is. I love the golden butterflies fluttering around the entire page. Then I love the girl crouched down in the middle of the floor. She looks sad, but she looks so bright and lively in her white dress that I really want to know more about her. The last thing I love is how the moon is peaking through the trees in the background. It gives the title a literal meaning, but you still want to know what "chasing the moon" really means. So not only is this cover gorgeous, it really makes you curious about the book itself. That, I'd say, definitely qualifies as some shelf candy :)
You always do a beautiful Shelf Candy post and this cover is no exception. I love it when covers are beautiful and mysterious at the same time.

Very pretty! I love all the butterflies. I too like how the moon peeks through the trees on the background. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteI almost did this same exact cover this week! I also love The Peach Keeper (I'll bet it's designed by the same artist). So gorgeous!!
