Stacking the Shelves (115)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers share what they got throughout the week!

From Atria Author Signing aka THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

I already gushed all about meeting Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, and Jamie McGuire on Sunday, but I can't leave it off my Stacking the Shelves post! Last Saturday, I bought brand new copies of Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire and got them singed, along with four other books I already owned. I rarely ever buy books full price, but I just had to splurge on Jamie and Colleen's books. I already read Ugly Love and loved it. Now, I'm dying for the chance to read Walking Disaster because the people I met at the signing told me it was great. Oh, and I also got a free tote bag, button, and tattoo from the singing.!Getting new books and meeting my favorite authors made it pretty much the best day of my life.

From Library

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I walked into the library with the intention of picking up two books and I walked out with all of these. I couldn't help myself! I've been meaning to read Alienated ever since it came out in February, but I just never got around to getting a copy. The author is going to be at a book event in Cincinnati that I'm hoping to attend in October, so I thought it was about time I picked it up. The authors of Article 5 and Not a Drop to Drink are on the list of attending the author event as well. Oh, and so is Emily Giffin! So, of course, I feel obligated to read all of their books before going. We'll see if I can get through them by next month!

That's it for me! What did you all add to your shelves this week?

  1. Great haul!! I have a copy of Alienated, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Maybe Someday, Beautiful Disaster, and several of Abbi's books are on my TBR list as well. I hope you love all of your new books!!

  4. I love the cover for Article 5. I'm not sure about reading it as I've read a lot of similar sounding dystopia recently and I need a break from that kind of plot. Maybe I'll get round to it in the future. Enjoy your books!

  7. Yikes, I haven't read any of the three authors books yet, so bad. I've been meaning to, honest. Sounds like you had fun though, so that's good . Haven't read Alienated yet either, though I did have it on pre-order but cancelled it since I didn't have the money for it at the time, so I'll have to pick it up soon. :) Happy reading! :)

  8. I haven't read any books from the authors you saw at the signing (mostly because all of them are NA and I'm not a big fan of NA), but I've read almost all of the library books you got (except The One & Only) and loved them! Enjoy your books and have fun at all of those author events!
